“I have been in the peninsula group for the past 25 years and one of the original companies that started the group on the peninsula and its chairman for the past 8 years.

I am very proud of all we have contributed to our consumers and members. I think COMMUNICATION is the basis of all good things and we have been given a trust by the consumer to make this trade the best it can be so education of our membership has been one of the main focuses of the past 25 years.

We have worked with all the major manufacturers, Distributors, Legal, insurance, Banking, and several supporting groups such as Inspectors and Virginia Natural Gas and the DPOR. We put on service schools and seminars in just about anything you may think about a daunting task in any business especially this changing industry.

As of this year the State DPOR has started a requirement for continued education for all tradesmen in the state I am proud to announce that the QGC has been approved as a teaching location by the state DPOR.

Also all three QGC chapters are involved in their communities and just recently we on the Peninsula were called upon by the city of Poquoson to help a family in need by installing equipment donated by Ferguson Enterprise.  A local building contractor did the framing and one of our members (Pioneer Refrigeration) installed the gas appliance.

Making the QGC the best it can be is the effort of all its members giving back is only just part of the big picture. We even have people working with the state legislature on all types of issues. This organization is also growing we look forward to taking it across the state very soon.”
